OR Interview - Statements?

I have my OR interview next Thursday, and have been asked for 12 months of statements.
I haven't spent anything on credit cards etc. in the last year (I don't think!), but my £500 overdraft on my bank account has been used as 'revolving' credit throughout that time.
I'm just wondering about other people's experiences - how much detail did they go into with spending? For example, are they likely to query things like how much I spent on my daughter's birthday (I got her a DSi, but managed to get it for under £100 through careful shopping!), or whether we spent any money on entertainment (Blockbusters etc.)?
I had felt that I had spent that last year living within our budget, although had to stop making debt payments in order to save for the Bankruptcy fee. Now I realise that the overdraft means that I was continuing to borrow, so worrying that I'll have to account for every penny not spent according to my SOA! :(
Any advice out there? I'd rather know and prepare myself...

Hello Nixi, Just send what you have to the OR and say if you have no credit statements. Don't be worried, your doing fine. Regarding overdraft you had to spend for food etc. The OR will understand this.

    Best wishes

  • If you don't have everything when you go to your interview try not to worry too much. The OR has the powers to get any info they need post bankruptcy so just provide them with everything you can and explain why you weren't able to get everything.

As the others have said try not worry, easier said than done I know. I managed to send all the bank statements asked for, but I did not have any of my cc ones, and I had a few cc`s :o I explained this in a letter I included with my bank statements, and nothing at all was mentioned about them during my interview. As long as you are totally honest with the OR you will be fine.

  • Just to put it in perspective, clients I've helped to go bankrupt at our local courts haven't need to take anything in, so it just goes to show the OR doesn't NEED everything like that, I think if anything they're probably just trying to save themselves some time post BR...

the OR asked me for 12 month's statements, which in the main i was able to provide. in the interview they didn't go into detail - eg didn't ask why did you spend £20 at such and such a place? she just asked me in general what a loan was for or what a cc was mainly used for, and an answer such as general living expenses, holiday, relocation expenses etc was fine

try not to worry. i know i was worried but it didn't make a difference! you'll be fine :)

Thanks for all of your assurances! :)
Being a worrier, I shall be completely unable to take any advice not to worry, but will try to tone it down a notch.
So nobody has had an OR dispute their SOA against their bank statements?
