Hi, I wondered if anyone had come across this before and what I should do?
We are entering into a DMP with CCCS although our first payment won't be until June as we have got to get a couple of things straightened out first. In the meantime we have started making £1 token payments to our creditors.
One of the creditors, a solicitors that appear to be acting as a DCA; have written back saying they cannot accept £1 but are asking for £5 per month. Should we accept this and send them £5 instead?
I wondered if that meant that we would be accepting the solicitors payment plan and invalidate the one we are setting up with CCCS? The solicitors have asked that we contact them to confirm acceptance of this. I thought maybe of writing to them with £5 and stating we will do this for the next 2 months until the DMP starts?
I have an official letter from CCCS to send to all our creditors that is basically a notification of an impending DMP, perhaps if I write and include that also it will confirm there is a DMP being arranged?
Thank you for reading - any thoughts welcome.

I would continue with £1 payment and send the DMP letter adding in new payment terms are been arranged with all creditors in 2 months so you will not be making changes to the token payments until the DMP is in place, payments will be set on a pro-rata basis by CCCS.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
OK thank you, I will get the DMP letter off to them in the morning.0
