Text from Mackenzie Hall

I received a text from Mackenzie Hall about half an hour ago, asking me to call them and quote a reference number. Curious, I phoned them as I couldn't think what it was for. Turns out its £63 I am owe for an old Sky account at my first address, which I moved out of in 2006.

The woman said she couldn't tell me any dates or any other details other than Sky had passed this on to them to collect. Why has it taken so long for them to do this? I wasn't aware that I owed them money when I moved out of my flat, but it is quite possible as my head was a mess when I moved - mainly because of debt.

The thing that I find really strange about this is that I got my credit file a few weeks back and there is no mention of this sky account on there? Is this strange or is it normal for things to be missed off?

I can't help thinking this might be contributing to my rubbish credit score, but then if its not on my credit file, how could it be?

Anyone have any thoughts?

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
