Can someone give advice on my mums accounts, referral fees every month!

Hi,
My mum is with barclays, I was looking through her statements today and noticed she is being charged £25 paid referral fees 2-3 times every month! I think this isn't fair as she goes over her overdraft by £10-20 and gets charged. I would of thought that with the fee she pays every month for additions then the bank would help her to avoid these fees, I feel sorry for my mum who has to pay the mortgage as well as everything else as the total is above £1000 in the last twelve months alone
Is she eligible to claim these charges back?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Ceminem, there's plenty you can do. Get yourself over to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and start reading the forums, especially Barclays.
If she has kept all her statements the claim might be quite quick. If she has to do a Data Protection request to find out her past charges, it will take a few weeks longer.
If I see you've posted on the other website, I'll get in touch with you over there and try and help. Or you could PM me. Go and have a read and good luck.0
