please help with tax credits

hi im not working and curently live with my husband .he claimes the child tax credits for our boys the problem is our marradge is over and im moving in with a new partner will my new partner be able to claim the child tax credits or not ...please help xx

    currently you have a joint claim with your husband so you will need to close that and open a joint claim with yout new partner based on your new partner and your income rather than your husbands and your income (this is assuming the boys will be living with you)
