I have been claiming JSA for the last two months, I have just completed a lifeguard course:j I'm fairly certain that i'll get a few hours work from the various leisure around me. I doubt it i'll get set hours each week. At the moment i'm still waiting for a decision on my housing benefit and was wondering if i got some hours work would this greatly affect this? would i be able to claim anything to top up my wages?

If you were working 30hours plus per week you could claim working tax credits.
You can still claim JSA if only working a few hours per week but the wages will be taken off your JSA. Theres a form you can fill in when you sign on that you can put your wages on0 -
