2g sim card in a 3g phone?
I have a contract with vodafone with a 2g handset.
I can't get an upgrade yet but if i buy a 3g handset will I be able to use my existing sim card to use 3g services or do you need a 3g sim card?
I have tried to research this but can't seem to find the answer.
The sim itself is a year old so is it likely to be 3g enabled anyway or are they only supplied with 3g phones?
Many thanks for any advice

Vodafone should replace your current sim with a 3g sim free of charge. Tmobile do.0

It's more than likely 3G. 2G sim would work anyway AFAIK, except you wouldn't have access to 3G internet. My sim is 4 years old and it is 3G.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
I'm sure I read somewhere that (on certain networks) that if you put a 2g sim card into a 3g phone, the sim card stops working after a couple of days - don't know how true this is.
As the others have said, make your way down to your local Voda store and they should sort it out for you."We are the change that we seek."0
