Hi all,
I've won £100 on the visa comp and am just about to send off the documents they want but have noticed the reciept has cash withdrawl at the top.
But It wasn't a cash withdrawal, we brought an envelope and postage from the post office for an ebayer.
Can someone please advice me on what to do? Will they accept this receipt?

It is difficult without seeing the receipt however I would enclose a covering letter explaining the situation to them, should they be that bothered they would need to liaise with the post office and discuss the strange way there receipts are printed. If you have a proof of postage on top of the receipt I would also include a photocopy of this.
The other option is prior to sending it off pop down to your local post office explain the situation and see if they can advise you regarding their receipts then include the member of staff details in the letter and ask visa to liaise with them (that is dependant upon them giving a good answer to you of course - if not don't mention the conversation you have had and take your chance)

Hi material girl, I'm sure it will be fine - they can check their records if they're unsure. But you can always print off a copy of the relevant bank statement and mask the other bits so they can just see the record of the purchase.

I always use my card in the post office and there is often a huge wait for the machine to work (compared to other shops) and often there is problems. Before now they have told me how they are putting it through as a withdrawal for the amount rather than a credit/debit payment method. Obviously it made no difference to me at the time. It sounds like this is what has happened to you too. As it seems to be something they do as a procedure at the post office maybe you could just explain this in a covering letter as someone has already mentioned.0

I'm going to send a covering letter with the documents and see how it goes.
I'm also before i send it off going to the post office and seeing what they say.
Should i call visa and ask them for advise as well? They might be used to the wording on po receipts?
