Soz if this is obvious.
Filled out passport renewal form and theres an extra sheet for putting in your credit card details. the card number bit has got 15 spaces. 4,4,4,4,3. All in a line and only a small gap between blocks. it looks like the last 3 spaces might be for the 3 digit number on the back of your card but it doesn't actually say that anywhere.
Don't want to put the 3 digit number in in case that's wrong and dont want to leave it out in case its supposed to be there. Cant find anything about it anywhere and dont want to phone the helpline AGAIN!
blackpool is looking better by the minute!

I don't know what the 3 (out of the 4,4,4,4,3) box is for but on the form I've got here in front of me there are actually 3 more boxes just to the right of those boxes that say above them 'CSC number. In the notes to the right, indicated by the black bullet point it says...
Note: The CSC (Card Security Code) number is the last three numbers found on the signature strip of your credit or debit card.
This at least answers your question of whether it is for the security code. I'm just in the process of sorting out my passports too but I'll be going to the post office to use their checking service because not only am I changing my name on it due to marriage, I'm having my daughter's name removed and applying for one for her in her own name too. I can't really afford it right now but we want to go to Dublin as a family in October.

P.S. Were actually off to Blackpool on Friday! Thank goodness we DON'T need a passport, eh?

Thats weird. Definately no extra boxes to the right, no black bullet points, nothing about CSC number. Just one continuous line for the card number.
Also only got 3 orange bullets marking 3 small paragraphs about how to pay and nothing about CSC.
New forms from PO today. Looks like theyve misprinted them. I suppose i'll write in the CSC number and write a note at the side to say what the last 3 numbers are. Maybe?
Have a ball at Blackpool. :beer:0 -
oh no... I've just sent mine off and I put a line through the 3 boxes and no bullent point on mine!! TBH if they misprinted they better ring me and ask for the number not return it.. I won't be happy!!

Just an update (if any one cares!) I didn't mention my extra security digits and they have deducted the full amount from my account! So I guess there just empty boxes!!!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092
