Dont use your EGG Card - get free Money!

done a search but can't find this... sorry if its been posted.

Over past 18 months I have had an egg card and not really used it at all.

On two separate occasions I have received emails saying spend £50 by XXX and we will give you £10.

I've checked my statements and I got a credit in March and have just had another email saying the same.

I've had this too (yet another reason for keeping an Egg card!) Once I got the email and just did a quick balance transfer (which qualified as 'use') for £100 to my current account and paid the money straight back again. Another time I did not even get the email - just the follow up to say "Congrats., you have used your in card last month [BTing again!] and you will receive £10 cashback as per our email [the one I never knew about]"

Another suggestion is to take advantage of any 'additional cardholder' incentives [whether you even give the additional cardholder thier card or not!] They have offered 6 bottles of wine, and on another occasion £20. So if you get an Egg Blue to go with your Egg Green it might be worth hanging on for something similar.

General observation: People who just use their Egg Green cards 'honestly' for spending must be disgusted when the likes of us - who only use it for one thing really - get offers like this. It's a cruel world! ;D

Dont know why people should be disgusted with us...we follow the rules!  ;)

I forgot to mention the 'additional cardholder incentive' -- I got this too. Even if u live alone... you can technically get one for 'anyone' and leave it in the draw - cos your liable anyway.

If anyone wants a copy of the email offering £10 if u spend £50... please PM me and I'll send it.  U then just need to slightly change it with Outlook.
