HSBC Credit Limit

Could anyone tell me whether HSBC automatically increase Credit Card Limits or do you have to request them?

I can only speak for my card a few years back, which they did increase, without request, from an initial £2000 to £5000 within months of opening the account. However, I think you may find that most (if not all) companies will not be doing this in future; unless of course you request it.
