My gross salary is £28372 p.a. with a salary sacrifice of £1200 p.a. to my Pension.
My childcare costs are £30 per week and I receive £36.28 child tax credit every 4 weeks.
Does this seem correct?
The reason I'm querying it is because through looking on here and speaking to friends it seems that there are people earning more than me and with less childcare costs that seem to be getting larger payments than me.

It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

you won't qualify for working tax credits, and only get the basic child tax credits rate.0

Are you a single parent? I got more than that when working, and was paying £120 a week for childcare.0 -
Yes I am a single parent. I've just been on the 'entitled to' website but I hate those things they just seem to confuse me (and I don't think I'm stupid )
I think there was a problem with the calculation for 2008/09 because my daughter started school in Sept 08 so for part of the tax year I was paying nursery fees then later on I switched to after school club fees which are a lot less (although I did inform the tax credits people at the time). Last April they put a one off payment in my account for £195 which I queried and they said no that was correct then a few weeks later they said I wasn't entitled to it so stopped paying me anything until October!
I'm hoping it can be sorted out correctly this year because I haven't had a pay rise so I can tell them exactly what I'll be earning for the next year. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
