PayPass Barclaycard - Where can I use it?

PayPass Barclaycard Mastercard Goldfish

I have a Goldfish Barclaycard Mastercard & have been offered two free cinema tickets if I use contactless PayPass three times before 18th April. I haven’t used paypass & I don’t know who offers this form of payment. Can anyone tell me where there are paypass readers so I can make these transactions? I live in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Don't know of any Pay Wave systems north of London, I think it is still under trial.

That's a bit silly rolling out paypass cards all over the UK if no one accepts them.

Most amusing one is my local newsagent. They take paypass, but there is a minimum of £10 transaction. So unless you spend exactly £10 you cant use it, as £10 is the upper limit for a contactless payment!

You can use PayPass anywhere that is contactless and has a 'PayWave' terminal.

There are a few places outside London but not many as yet. Also the cards can be used in the US as contactless anywhere you see the 'Wave' sign.

Barclaycard are leading the move to contactless in the UK so thats why they are pushing them. The contactless systems are: Visa - Paywave, Matercard - PayPass & Amex - ExpressPay.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!
