I registered for this free annual report in Sept 2008 when my credit rating was absolute pants.

My reports with Equifac and Experion now have 5 open accounts in excess of 8 green o's plus and one remaining default due to drop off next month.

But this Annual credit report site is saying

I'm not as it means absolutely nothing as every lender has their own very distinct criteria for issueing cards which has nothing to do with whoever supplied this this.
What annual credit report has advised this ?

Their the totally free credit report mentioned by Martin in some of his acticles.

I am surprised as Experion don't recommend me to try these cards and the barclaycard checker won't even advise me as yet.

Posting it to see wether any one else had ever got this from them ?

These sites will reccomend which ever cards give them the best affliate commission for reccomendtion. I wouldn't pay much attension to it, like credit scores these sites provide, they seem to be totally random.

Agree, I don't/didn't/couldn't believe their reccomendations.

But if it being on here stops people wasting their searches all the better.

So 'annualcreditreport', despite not knowing your income, employment status, etc, recommend the Capital One Plus card then do they?

Even though Capital One themselves say for this product...

We're not likely to accept you if:
    • You've had any CCJs or defaults in the past
Shows exactly why these [STRIKE]predictions[/STRIKE] guesses are a complete waste of time (and money in many cases).

True, so true they claim to have accessed all the available reports together to come up with this ???

Experion to be fair ask your income, tenent or owner worker or retired etc. before giving you an idea, bit like the barclaycard prechecker.

But to be fair, I've recently been accepted for 2 Sygma cards with CCJ's and defaults still on my file, between 5 and 6 years old. Their critera stipulates the same thing, but it's not set in stone...

Credit reports are just scams usually.

This is evidenced again and again.

If you need to fix an error with data retention then they may have some one off use but otherwise they are quite useless.

They're always good for shareholders of the companies and the people they sell all your data to which you've freely given them, however.
