He would still get his DLA, unsure about income support.
You would need to close down your single tax credits claim and claim as a couple. I know with a couple you both need to be working 16hours plus per week to get the childcare paid, unsure how it works if one person is on DLA.

    Hi,

I currently work self employed 16hrs per wk for £95

I get most of my childcare paid £70.

working and child tax credits of £220.

    Child benifit £46.40.

Child maintanence of £35 per week.

Full council Tax and Housing benefit.

I want my partner to move in but he claims disability mid rate and income support.......one pays £120 per fortnight and the other £240 monthly. So basically £60 per week each

Any ideas how my money would be affected please? Would he be able to keep claiming his or would i have to claim for him? (dont want to do that)

It's a pain that i have to make the claim and see what happens!!

    Thankyou x
your partner gets £240+£120x2 total £480 month £120 a week

Though not infallible, you could try modelling the new household set up in the Entitled to website.

Remember that when people set up house together, it is generally much cheaper to run a joint household in terms of reduced expenses (for example, food/insurance/energy/telecoms/broadband bills) so try to look at the bigger picture and factor in these savings, should your income change.
