Egg mastercard constantly being declined when shopping online

In the last 6 weeks or so, every time I try to use my about-to-be-rate-jacked Egg card to shop online it's being declined. My address is the same as it always was, card is well below limit and all my details, including Secure Code, are correct. I phone Egg and they say everything is fine and that the transactions are being authorised, but the retailers insist they aren't.
I haven't had any instances of fraud on the card and none of the purchases I'm trying to make are unusual or wildly expensive. Egg say they can't help me - does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
