CCCS won't remove Debt from DMP

You might have seen my update to http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2273405 yesterday where Lowell told me they were closing a file as they couldn't produce the CCA.
Now the CCCS say I have to keep it on my DMP and continue to make payments. Surely this can't be right?
Tbh I would be happy to pay the debt off in some form eventually. However their payment is over a third of my DMP payment and I would rather pay more to other debts that are enforceable. I really don't want to self manage as the CCCS make it so much easier to sleep at night for me. Yes I know I can't always have my cake and eat it.

Hi
I guesss this might be one for the 'Ask CCCS a question' thread.
My logic would suggest that this debt is now of lower priority than enforceable debts and that all available income should go towards clearing your enforceable ones.0 -
That's what I was thinking. I have emailed CCCS to confirm their answer and suggest they reprioritise. I will have to wait till monday to find out.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0

I concur, i wouldn't make payments to it when you have more higher priority debts.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Update: - The CCCS will not adust my payments to Lowell. According to them if a debt doesn't have either a fixed payment ie lOan repayment or a contractual % repayemt ie 3% on CC they set the original contractual payment to be 5% of teh balance. So that way all creditors are treated fairly when they divy up the payments.
If I want to do anything else I either have to self manage or clear the Lowell Balance. Now it is not enforceable I am going to try the honourable thing, pay a F&F, starting low to test the water. After that I will pursue the template option to get it off my name entirely.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -

Hi, you could just logon to the cccs website and amend the balance to Zero for that particular account, this way the money allocated to lowell will get redistributed to the others on your list, you dont need to discuss anything with CCCS as long as you know what your doing as to add it back on later, sure will look a bit odd.
This is very simple, hope this helpsDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
BTW , i have done exactly that when i cleared a few of my smaller debts with f&f settlements.Dmp Mutual Support thread member No 820

Have CCCS not asked you to send proof of the debt being paid in full ?
I have a few smaller balances and mentioned to CCCS that I would like to pay them off with a bit of help from family, I was told that I would need to send in proof that the debt had been paid before they would remove the debt from my dmp.
When you ammended the balances to zero, did they drop off your DMP the following month ?DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -

hi, yes they did, so I made sure i amended balance to Zero before the week the payments get sent out. The only time I have spoken to CCCS is when i first set it up, once a year review to make sure im happy with the monthly payment and thats it really, Ive f&f about 4 accounts in the last 2 years out of 11 at the start and they have never asked about these, u have a drop down menu when u amend your balance and i just clicked gift from family / friend or additional payment to creditor, there are quite a few.Dmp Mutual Support thread member No 820
