in Credit cards
Hi,
I have just done a 0% balance transfer (its the first time i have done this :-(
) and my direct debit has come out at the same time, so effectively i am in credit with a credit card!!!
Will i get this £32 back if i phone them and ask? or will it stop the balance transfer???
sorry, but i'm a tad puzzled!!! (i didn't think you could go into credit with a credit card!! :rotfl:
thanks in advance!

Is there any reason you won't continue to use the card? If not then it will just come off the amount you will have to pay next month.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

Hi,
thanks for replying, well the card is now empty (actually its £32.05 in credit) but i only want one credit card so i do not get into lots of debt, so i will not be using the old credit card..
In fact i wont actually be using the new one, i just wanted it for the 0% deal!!! :-)
thanks0 -
If this has put the old credit card £32 into credit and you don't plan to use the card again you can ask them to send it to you in cheque form. They may need you to close the account in order to do this.
Otherwise you can just put £32 of spending that you'd usually use your debit card onto your credit card that's in credit, instead
TIP: You may find it easier to get another balance transfer when your new offer runs out if you leave the old card open, having just one active credit card on your credit file may well count against you when trying to get a new offer in 6/9/12 months time. You can just cut up the old card and forget you ever had it but it will still show open on your credit file showing other creditors you're more "credit savvy"Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

forgot to mention, the £32.05 is with the old credit card, and not the new one
