You'll be entitled to claim it as its part of the WTC if you both work over 16hrs per week, otherwise your not eligible to claim.The Working tax Credit (Entitlement and Maximum Rate) Regulations 2002, Reg. 13 (1)
To qualify for a child care element the claimant:
* must be 16 or over, and
* lone parents must be in qualifying remunerative work for 16 hours or more a week, or
* both members of a couple must be in qualifying remunerative work for 16 hours or more a week, or
* one member of the couple must be in qualifying remunerative work for 16 hours or more a week and the other
* is incapacitated
* is an inpatient in hospital, or
* is in prison (whether serving a custodial sentence or remanded in custody awaiting trial or sentence)I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. does the award vary on the amount that child care will cost? sorry for so many questions.There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
The award will vary depending on the amount of help you claim , its currently 80% of the value of the childcare.
