Cancelling Swiftcover car insurance but they want money, how, why?

After pursuing the insurance company after your advice Quentin, they seem to think the no claims will be lost as it is 50/50, find this very unfair.0

As you only have third party cover, then your only way forward is to claim all your costs off the third party. If the liability is decided at 50/50, then you should end up with half of your costs reimbursed by the third party. This won't affect your NCD by itself. But your NCD will be affected if your insurer has to pay out anything to the third party.0

Okay thanks I understand that, but what I'm confused about is, when it's time for insurance renewal, will all my No Claims be gone? That's what's on my mind.

See post #30When renewal comes, then your premium could well go up - if you currently hold any NCD, then this will go down by 2 years and none will be added for the current year. Apart from the NCD issue, having this claim on your history may well result in a loading to your premium.0
