Halifax harrassing me after an arrangement to pay a missed payment has been made

Apologies if this isn't the right board for this but I missed a payment on my Halifax Credit Card at the beginning of the month and had a series of missed calls from them at the end of the last week.

On Sunday I spoke to a helpful person at their call centre, made an arrangement to make double the payment in April and they said that would be an end to it.

Despite this the calls persisted including some very annoying calls which put me through to an electronic messaging thing when I pick the phone up. Another call was from someone at their call centre and I asked why they kept ringing me when an arrangement was in place, he claimed he couldn't find me as a customer on his database (if only). I told them I didn't want any further calls from them as this was now sorted.

Ten minutes later another call from the Halifax. I was furious and told them I did not want any further calls from them and that if they called again I would report them to OFCOM/the Information Commissioner and if I received any calls I would see them in the courts.

They claimed they couldn't cut the calls off as their server updated at 9pm that night - I said I didn't care and that he would "put [my] account on hold like it should have been on Sunday."

I didn't receive any calls after that yesterday but have now received three this morning.

What can I do? Halifax have been terrible with me and this is running me into the ground with stress.

What an unhelpful answer, does it follow that if you miss a payment then a business is entitled to harrass you by phone even if you have made an arrangement to pay the amount.

As I mentioned I had made an arrangement with them so I was paying my arrears.

They're are tantamount to breaching the telecommunications act in so much as the frequency of the calls is clearly causing distress and making you feel harrassed.Write to them advising them of the breach, advising that you are rescinding permission for them to call you ever again, and that any further calls made to you by them will be treated with the full force of the law as harassment and / or breach of the telecommunications act :oTelling them this over the phone won't help - you'll need to put it in a letter.
