    Actually, history shows that coalition governments have often coped better than expected in terms of financial strength. Germany?

    Possibly in the long term, but in the short term a hung parliment would be seen as a bad thing.

    Don't believe all the media or the Tory party put out!
    The US has the equivalent of a hung parliament and most of Europe has coalitions ... Germany for many years. Has it done them great harm?
