Camping in Cornwall

I've got a week off work at the beginning of August and I'm gonna go away with the other half. We don't have much money and with the weather here being so nice we thouht we'd try camping for a change.
Anyway, I've got the necessary gear etc and just need some advise on campsites in the Cornwall area. We want a relaxing weeks holiday e.g. lazing on beaches, going on nice walks etc but also want the chance to go out and have a good time in the evenings. I was thinking possibly Newquay, but can't decide on a campsite - any recommendations
