I recently attended an Appeals Tribunal because my ex disputed the CSA assessment that had been made. He lied consistently throughout the Tribunal
It was completely independant and they were acting on behalf of my children.
My ex throughout has claimed he earns less than £90pw a ridiculous amount of money!
Although the Chairman insisted on seeing his full audited accounts together with his profit and loss accounts. Guess what he completely shot himself in the foot, and it was judged (I believe very generously) that his earned income was more like in the region of 35k, although I know for a fact that he passes a lot of his expenditure through his company.
The problem I have now apart from getting the dosh, is the period that he appealed against was only for a part of the period he owes me money for.
Could anyone advise me whether he has acted:- a) fraudulently and what recourse I have, and b) whether I could claim for the previous years not included in his appeal.

I would advise you phone the appeals unit: I have found them very helpful in the past. Be prepared for the fact that a reassessment may take time. It took me nine months and 180 phone calls to the csa after I won an appeal gainst my ex. If you win an appeal it does tend to help in the future, ads they are more likely not to take him at face value.
