Might seem like a silly question

I have tried to look across the previous boards and guides however, i am not the most tech-savvy. I have had debt problems for many years and subsequently have been declined for credit years... having been subject to agreed loan repayment schemes with creditors and previous defaults.

I recently got accepted for a vanquis credit card, they have a very high APR of approx 35%. The question is - How do i use this card without placing myself in a worse situation. Do I pay for something small and then try and pay it completly of within 30 days and do this on a regular basis, or do i get soemthing big and make payments for it over a 6 month period, whats the best plan of attack

thoughts and ideas much appreciated

Whatever you spend on the card, try your best to repay in full every month so as not to be charged the high interest. If you do this and never exceed your limit or miss a payment you card limit should rise.

The best way to use a credit card to rebuild your rating is to use it regularly and then always pay it off in full each month.

The interest rates are ridiculous high on this type of credit card so you don't want to leave a balance on them ever if you can avoid it.
