Which camp are you staying at? I live in Lowestoft, not far from Yarmouth.

Well in Lowestoft you can visit the most easterly point of Britain called Ness Point. There is also some water jet fountains on the seafront which are great for cooling off in in this heat and they do light and music shows with them in the summer. There is also the East Point Pavilion to visit where there is a cafe and a Tourist Information Centre. The beach of Lowestoft is clean, golden sand. Theres also the Sparrows Nest where there are several free and cheap museums. Lowestoft is much less cheap and tacky than Great Yarmouth.

There was a similar thread started to this one last week:

My partner and I were in Great Yarmouth jus last week...

The infamous 'Sand Sculptures' are NOT worth paying £11 each to view. You can see them over the fences anyway! :P

Blimey, I wasn't aware you had to pay to see those. The last time I went they were free

Really depends what your children are 'in to'.
Mine love animals, so we went to the Wildlife gardens a few miles inland from Hemsby - not for the gardens I might add, but for the wildlife - Tigers, leopards/cheetahs, red panda, owls, otters, pocupine etc. We timed it for the feeding time at 3pm, where we got to follow the keeper around as she went in turn from enclosure to enclosure, so you didn't miss anything.
Quite a small set up, not a BIG ZOO, but then not packed either, at least when we went, which was admittedly before all the local schools had broken up. Had a great time pottering round. Not free, but not too expensive.
Also had several recommendations to go to Pleasurewood Hills - which you can find on the net, and I printed loads off, but we were so busy just enjoying the beach and pool we never actually got to !
Also researched and printed off vouchers for the Sealife centre in Grt Yarmouth - but again never got to
Is a thread somewhere about Free and cheap days out which I used. Type in which area you are going to and it can give you 241 vouchers etc for diff attractions, so worth the effort before you leave home. Also printed off a lot of routes on how to get to these places from where I would be staying - which I found really helped me find the places straight away, rather than missing the signs, or going down the wrong one way streets !
Hope you have a great time. We did;)
