Egg Credit Card / Direct Debit repayment

I recently set up an Egg credit card with the 1% cash back ... anyhoo, I just noticed I have a new direct debit set up on my Halifax called "E C" so I just want to check this is in fact Egg?

    Mine is shown as "PAYMENT 2 EGG CARD".

    You can view Direct Debit details on the Egg website... match the dates to the one shown on your Halifax account.

    Yep
    "EC" is Egg Money.

    "Payment to Egg Card" is Egg card.

    So why have I got the former set up automatically, when I've got the Egg card? :think:

    It will show as 'payment 2 egg' when they take the direct debit.

    Because, if you are getting 1% cash back, you have the Egg Money Card.
