in Credit cards
Hi all, i wonder if anyone can advise me on this please...
I have been accepted for a Halifax Credit Card which offers 9 months 0% balance transfer and 12 months 0% on purchases.
I want the card simply to pay for my holiday this year with the intention of paying it all off by 12 months time.
My query is :- i am going to America and am booking trips, accommodation etc separately and want to use the card to do so. Some of the websites are American and so i will be charged in dollars - can anyone tell me what i am likely to get charged for doing this?
I haven't received the card or terms yet and as soon as it does arrive i want to get on with making bookings!
Thanks in advance.

the T&Cs are probably on the Halifax website
foreign currency charges are usually about 3%0 -
Halifax CC T&C's here: http://www.halifax.co.uk/creditcards/conditions_7734.asp (just happen to have them handy
)
Section 5.3 explains how they deal with transactions in a foreign currency.
