BT expected to make sweeping changes to residential prices.

BT is expected to announce sweeping changes to residential prices in coming weeks after the telecoms regulator today said it would ease regulations controlling retail pricing for line rental and call charges.

The telecoms giant said the new system will allow it to react quicker to changes in tariffs from competitors as prices are slashed across much of the industry.
