Do Sygma / Flybe accept Debit Mastercard for payment

Hey

Wonder if anyone can help. Have a new Flybe Mastercard with Sygma and due to make first payment shortly. Prefer to pay online by debit card, but can anyone tell me if Sygma accept debit mastercard for payment? I know for instance Barclaycard still don't, but Halifax have updated their systems to accept it.

yes you can pay your flybe card by Debit card

Thanks Brian, what I would like to know more specifically though is if there system is set up to accept debit mastercard, as many have not updated their systems to include it yet and a debit mastercard number is not recognised.

I would suggest sending the payment from your banks on line banking as this way it can go faster payment

I always pay my Flybe card using my online banking system.Always takes 2 days to clear with Sygma.Never once had a problem.

Selecta does your payment go by faster payments? Have used fps for barclaycard and capital 1 and is credited same day, although doesn't show until the next.

Curiously, when doing payment to Barclaycard my online banking showed as faster payment but advised that the receving bank (ie Barclaycard) would process the next working day. I assumed that meant it would only be credited to my BC account the next day, but in fact it was credited that day although not posted until the next. .......phew bit long winded there - sorry!

jazza online payments to flybe go by faster payments and although it takes around 2 days to appear on your flybe account it will be dated as paid on the day you sent it ie i made a faster payment to my flybe account on 22nd it didn't show on my flybe until today 24th but showed as paid on 22nd.

Important please ensure you use the Internet and telephone banking payment sort code and account number on the back of your statement when paying by online banking and not the account details on the bank giro credit slip as a few people have made this mistake still use your card number as reference. Flybe say on your statement to allow 5 working days for payment to reach them

thanks pnp. had a look there too. Not that I would recommend it, but as they accept visa, m/c etc. does that mean you could pay your account with another credit card? :eek:
