My browser says that the link to register for online voting is an untrusted connection and warns me about proceeding. The message is:

Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are

it's fine - it's not totally on line anyway. You put your details in and it creates a PDF addressed to your LA that you sign and pop in the post
