Buyer says keep the money!?!

Two weeks ago a buyer won two large baby toys total only £5. Due to size advised collection paying cash. Anyway never heard from the buyer despite sending messages every other day. They have over 2000+ positive feedback. I applied for their number but never received it so I opened a NPB. The buyer paid via paypal but I had no messages regarding collection. I refunded him but he paid again and sent a nice message saying keep the money. I sent a reply saying what about doing a mutual cancellation but he said no just keep the money. I am very confused!

Maybe it was their way of saying sorry for messing you around...
If you feel bad about keeping the money, perhaps give it to a childrens charity - after all, you're still free to resell the items. Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Someone never collected something they won from me, but when I prompted they did pay... and left positive feedback. Never heard from them again!0

Maybe after bidding they realised how much it would cost when they added the cost of petrol and their time. In that situation I might well do the same after seriously messing you around.0

i did the same for a £5 item recenty (local collect)
i was ill for a bit and knew it would be a couple of weeks so just told the seller to call off the sale and keep the money
i also offered to do a mutual for them0 -
I did thus recently- bid on some books and agreed a date- I can't make the date or any others so I've paid and they agreed to donate them to charity- win win and not unusual either. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
