Aqua Card Limit Plunge

I have had a Aqua card since last January with a £900 limit, I used the card always and paid off each month in full, six months later the limit was increased to £1200 again I used the card and paid off in full.
On my capital one card my limit has just increased this week to £2100 and again I use and pay off in full, so today I check my Aqua statement online and I have a balance of £57 and a limit of £400 !, so I call them and they say there is no problem with card they are just being 'Responsible', which I take to mean that they make no money from me and since last November I have only used the card a few times and again always pay in full.
I will now close the account as £400 is no use to anyone and I have told them so, but I guess it would have been nice to have some prior notice as it could have been embarrassing if you thought you have money on the card only to find out you don't.
