now the problem is my back garden is all slabbed
in the picture the swing is placed on a lawn.
will it matter if i put one of these on a slabbed flooring?

My friend had one of these on concrete and it did tend to tip a bit... obviously you don't push too hard, but when she had a party in the garden last year, someone elses child (that was too big for it) got in, swung too hard and ended up tipping the whole thing over!0

I broke my arm falling off a swing onto grass, so it's not as safe as it looksMurphy's No More Pies Club #209

I would recommend lifting the slabs where the swing will go and fill the hole in with small shingle pebbles, it is much better to have it anchored for peace of mind.
I also wouldn't recommend getting one of the baby swings, but 1 year they are eager for a proper swing.

I would recommend this one, I have it and it is brilliant, you just purchase a baby seat, also available and you can have it low to start with if you want to to just go to the higher position and then you don't have to bend!0 -
I'd second what Counting_Pennies has said... our swing has done 6 yrs and counting (we got the baby seat and the flat seat) but friends with the smaller swings have had to buy a bigger one after a year..... I suppose it depends on the size of your garden though!:D0

I wouldn't put a swig anywhere, even one of these small ones unless it was well anchored and over a softer surface.
Other will worry less than me, however.0
