Barclaycard - Existing customer offers

Evening all!
Quick question regarding the existing customer application process for the Barclaycard Breathe.
http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal-home/cards/breathe/existingcustomer.html
When you apply through the existing customer route, is the card 'guaranteed' if you meet the criteria?
One of the items specified is Credit Limit on existing card over £1k; my Barclaycard Initial was raised to £1020 today (from £510). I meet all other points stated, but should I wait a few months at this CL before applying.
Has anyone applied and been refused?
Does the application generate a search on my credit file? (Or is it based on internal score only?)
Cheers,
MF

I recently applied for their Oyster credit card, I got their Platinum already, I waited to be with them for 6 months, was accepted straight away, card was delivered within 5 days and no credit check has been conducted.0

Well, I applied for the BC Breathe through the existing customer link, and received the message below... I appear to meet all the criteria so fingers crossed it is approved

Has anyone else received this message and been accepted/declined? I thought it would be instant yes/no being an existing customer (and that no credit check is performed).
MFThank you for your application for a Barclaycard Breathe
We have already started to process your application
What happens next?
If your application is accepted, we'll send your credit card and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to you, along with a copy of the terms and conditions and welcome pack.
Sometimes we need to ask for extra information to be able to complete your application. If this is necessary we'll write to you to request it.
When your new card arrives
Please sign your card straight away. For security reasons you'll need to call us to activate it. Details of how to do this will be sent with your card.
If you want to transfer balances to your new Barclaycard
If you'd like to transfer balances from other credit or store cards to your Barclaycard, you can do this when you call us to activate your card. If you'd rather transfer at a later date, full details are provided in our welcome pack.
If you've applied for Barclaycard Card Protection
If your application is accepted, you will receive your policy documents, or a letter from the insurer, in the next 7-10 days.
Thank you for continuing to be a valued Barclaycard customer0 -

When I applied for second Barclaycard few weeks ago, never got any messages so wasn't sure what was going on, it is only a couple of days later when I called their customer service that before you get to someone they tell you your balance that I heard the credit limit for the second one from that point I knew that card was on it's way, and customer agent confirmed what I already knew.0 -
I applied for the goldfish card when I had the oyster card and they said no, wrote them a letter saying I think I should have been accepted and they sent me a nice letter apologising and agreeing that I should have been accepted and then received the card the next day.0

Stephane - thanks for the comment, I usually hold tight to see what comes through the post as I hate the thought of the person on the phone saying Nooooooooo! However, I feel a bit impatient this time so I'll call them on Friday if I've heard nothing.
Williham - thank you too. If the answer is indeed no, I will write to them stating that I think it should be yes!

When did you apply? Do as I did, call Barclaycard customer service and before you get to someone you have to put in your card details, if you hear on the phone the voice telling you about second card then its all good, if not put the phone down if you don't want to speak to anyone. Have you checked your online banking?0 -
I applied earlier tonight, I'll call the customer service line in the morning.
I've checked online but I think the Breathe card may have it's own site/login. (I may be wrong!)
Does the new card get automatically added to your current online account? I thought I'd have to link the accounts if I am accepted.

If you've applied only tonight, then its too early. When you apply during working hours they tend to give you answer there & then, in the evening you have to wait for next working day. The new card with credit limit if accepted will appear automatically in your online banking. Might be best giving them a call tomorrow afternoon and ask if you have been accepted or if they need more info from you.0 -

I think you will be decined:o
Reading your previous posts you state that Barclaycard have recently increased your limit, for that reason alone I don't believe Barclaycard are going to further increase their lending exposure to you in such a short period of time.0 -
Hi Cash Flow,
Yes, I have just had a limit increase but as I fitted their stated criteria I thought I'd give it a bash! At least if it is a decline it may be useful for others in a similar situation.
Fingers crossed! Hope your crystal ball is wonky
