I am looking to get a Santander Zero credit card for foriegn spending but have never had a CC before.
I previous applied for one (a month ago) but was declined, I applied at an address that I was not registered on the electoral role at, and only had one bank account registered to. (This was before I really knew how it all worked).
I am now worried that if I apply again at my registered address I will be rejected again. My credit history is fairly non existant. I had a 3 year phone contract a few years ago with no missed payments and I have a £50 overdraft limit.
What advice would you give me?
I was thinking if I increase my overdraft limit it will improve my credit score? Or appling for a CC through my nationwide bank whom I have been with for 10 years+ may help? Then apply again for the santader card in a few months?
Many thanks to all

your best bet is your own bank
the santander is pretty hard to get with little history0 -
Having lived at my address and enrolled for 1 year I was declined (with nothing bad on my history, just new to the country). Safe bet if you haven't been enrolled for 2yrs + at your current address you will get declined for this card. Apply at your bank first and get on the credit ladder.0
