My Diary...... damn!

i guess i better start my diary!

feel really quite low at the moment - as you can see from my signature im in crap with my money. right at this present moment in time i can just about afford to make slightly more than the min repayments but im finding it really tight.
However i have a big payrise guaranteed in september which will make all the difference to my situation. Im just at the moment finding myself having to use the CC to make ends meet at the end of the month. I cant sustain this any longer than september.
It all started with a £5k loan to buy a new car - which then i had my M&S CC then my HSBC CC, then i got married (expensive affair which went on the CC) then we got divorced (went on CC) not a huge divorce payout but helped to clear a little bit - but i had by this time increased my original £5k loan to £7k. then i meet another man we buy a house, costs involved of doing it up (new build) go on the.. you guessed it CC. Then we get married (on the CC) at which point i decide to extend my loan even further and go for a £12k and try to clear some of the CC. Then i get a vrigin card and transfer balances, then build it back up again and transfer onto a new Card the EGG one! then i decide to increase my loan to £15k.

I am crap with money this much is obvious. i know what i did wrong - i got things on the CC when i truly couldnt afford it. I have finally learnt my lesson and stopped this. I dont buy myself any treats, clothes - going out has now stopped.

I need motivation - i have done SOA before and i have cut back on every single thing, its tight i knew it would be tight but its getting me down. i need to win the euromillions!
i have registered to take on extra work and im even looking at doing the Kleeneaze distributor.

I know its only short term until september but at the moment i feel like im in a tunnel with no light at the other end - september feels that far away. I have my forecast up until november when i will finally be in credit - but i cant keep using the CC to survive at the end of the month as this defeata the whole thing.

Help me, give me motivation, if the kleeneaze thing is good tell me and i will start!

just need a hug and i miss my mom.

Just want to give you a virtual hug and say that soon one of the experts will come on and give you the advice you need. This sounds so like me except that mine is much more; had HSBC card then Tesco then M&S then EGG and so it went on. I haven't yet plucked up the courage to post an SOA but am really trying very hard to bring things in line and keep them there whilst plugging away at the biggest. I am assuming that you have lost you mom? Me too and it is **** but we have to soldier on. Good luck and I will watch out for the thread as more people come on board. You can do it and you will do it for your mom xx:)

hi and welcome ot the boards, it's the best move you've made. The fact that you say you're using cC's to make ends meet is not good. Do you keep a spending diary? they are great at pinning down where you really spend your money not just where we all think we're spending it lol.
Do you do the free scratch cards? they're slow money but it all helps, have a look at the up your income board.
    good luck and keep posting

  • Hello, wanted to join Billie in giving you a virtual hug.
I have recently had my lbm and have a lot of debt as you can see from my signature!! Starting a diary was the best thing I've done cos the support (as well as the public humiliation should I fail :)) has kept me motivated and made me realise I'm not on my own!
There are lots of ideas and tips on this site (if you have a day or two to read through it) and I'm sure that you'll be successful in your quest to be debt free!! In the mean time, don't get too depressed about it - the great thing is that you have recognised it's a problem and you're doing something about it!
Proud to be dealing with my debts,
