There was a lot of talk about problems with the chip on Asda credit cards having a fault which meant it will not work in the card readers instore, so you effectively have an Asda credit card you can't use in Asda (oh feel the LOL), well i've been blocked from my online account manager with them for 2 days so i just called & was informed my card had been cancelled along with 'many other cards' because the chip is faulty & i can't get back into my online account until my new card is activated.
So just incase anyone else with an Asda credit card has been unable to log into the account manager - now you know why.
