Travel Insurance for Terminally Ill

I wonder if you can help, please. I am terminally ill with cancer but want to make several trips to Europe (probably by train and/or ferry) over the next year or so.

I am worried about getting back in an emergency and would normally take travel insurance.

Is this necessary or will my E11 cover me? Obviously, I would prefer not to spend money unneccessarily.

Any advice welcome. Thanks

Your E11 entitles you to the same medical treatment as a citizen of that country gets. It wouldn't cover you for things that their own citizens have to pay for and wouldnt cover repatriation.

You are going to struggle to find an insurer that will insure you for any incidents in connection with your diagnosed illness unless there is a stupidly high excess involved. There are very straightforward policies out there that will cover you for any unrelated emergencies normally.

My friend was terminally ill with cancer and contacted the Association of British Insurers who gave her a list of companies to try.

She eventually got cover for 6 months in Zante with Citibond. If she had had to claim for anything relating to the cancer her excess would have been £250, but was £50 for anything else.
