Lloyds TSB cocked up, now want money from me! Am i in the right here?

Hi everyone. I used to hold an account with Lloyds TSB, basically it was a debit card account with NO OVERDRAFT in place, just a simple money in, money out account. I lost my debit card and phoned them to cancel the card, they said it had been done and sent me a new one out as normal. I used this new card for 3 months when…

Have you ever reported the card lost or stolen via the number that LTSB provide for reporting it (0800 096 9779)?

I know they should have tied everything together when you first told someone in the bank that it had been used in error, but maybe worth doing now anyway and explain when and how you first reported it to the bank.

If you do do this make sure they don't cancel the card you are currently using.
