Reassurance on credit card mistake please

I've made an error with my credit card and I want some reassurance please
Last week, my credit card was cancelled and a new one issued because there was an attempted fraudulent use on my card.
New card arrived and was activated on Saturday.
Anyway, today I made an online transfer from my bank to the credit card but I sent it to the old credit card by mistake
I have phoned the cc company and they have said that it will credit my new card but I'm worrying that it wont
I wont know for up to 48 hours if the credit has gone through to my new card, so wondered if anyone else has experience of this.
I realised as soon as I sent the payment that I had made an error and could kick myself for doing it. Hopefully it will work out fine, but that reassurance would be gratefully received

It will be fine although take slightly longer as manual intervention may be required to transfer the funds from the cancelled carf to the new number.0
