Don't know if I can claim off paypal?

I bought a toy off ebay on 4 Jan, I had it a week and it broke. I contacted the seller ( a business seller) and they said they'd send a replacement but no mention of returning the original item - which I'm happy to do but have no address for them. I emailed them on Friday 29th to see if the replacement has been sent out and their reply was:

The replacement has been shipped on Jan 20. Order needs to take 1 to 2 business days for internal order processing before sending out the item through ROYAL MAIL.
Shipment usually takes around 3- 7 business days.
Therefore, you should receive it very soon.

It seems like quite a while since it was allegedly posted out but I'm happy to wait a couple more days. If it's not received would it be possible to make a paypal claim? And on what grounds?

Thanks

Thanks cyberbob. I'm just stuck on what grounds to claim on. Would it be item not as described? Obviously I've received the item but it's since broken. Never done a paypal claim before.

Well, the replacement item's turned up today. But still no mention of returning the broken toy. Seems a bit strange to me.

As a business seller, I rarely ask a customer to return a faulty item. Most item faults can be described/emailed and/or photographed well enough to make a refund. Returning only causes hassle for the returnee and cost for the seller.
