Credit cards you have with either Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda..etc are all generated from one of the big banks (HSBC, RBS, Santender etc..) so that does not mean that those are more expensive, it all depends on the interest rate, any promotional offers and how long for. Supermarket CC are as good (most of them) as any other.

Depends what you are looking for - 0% purchase/BT/cashback.....look at the best buy tables to make a selection.

The new American Express Rewards credit card is very good for supermarket rewards.

You get triple points on any major supermarket spending - so you don't have to get limited to only earning at ASDA when you need to pop to Tesco.

Then double points at department stores, like debenhams, boots, etc... And 1 point for every £1 spent anywhere else.

Then you can redeem your points for high street shopping vouchers.
