Ending a Claim for Income Protection

Hello,
I am just posting a question on here as I can't get through to my income protection company (AXA) because they've all gone home. My situation is that I have been offered a job and they want me to start Monday. I have been claiming income protection by filling out an ABI1 form every month. My question is what do I do now to claim up to the day I start work. I assumed I would go to the jobseekers sign off and get an ABI1 up to my last day of unemployment but I'm wondering now if that is wrong.
Anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks

What your saying sounds correct but i would just give axa a call - in the nicest possible way they will be happy to get you off their books.
Just check whether you have a proportionate benefit as if you have taken a lower paid job they may carry on paying a percentage of the cover.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. For everyone's information I did need an abi1 form up to the date I started work, but there was another way. You can just send them a copy of your p45 that the jobcentre will send you once you've signed off. It takes longer but saves a trip to the job centre!
Hope that helps someone!0
