I am sure it used to be the case that a supply could not be disconnected if there were young kids in the house but I am not sure if it is still the case.
The will fit a pre payment meter & put a debt on the meter so you can`t get away with not paying for your lecky just because you have kids. Quite a high proportion of the country do have them after all.0
