Selling a car advice

Hi,
Just needed some advice with selling a car. I have a 52 reg Ford Fiesta Zetec which runs ok but has a few minor niggles that could be rectified (dent in alloy rim, knocking with clutch).
Other than that, its not a bad runner and has been with me from new.
What would be the best option for me with regards selling:
1) Go to a dealership and offer to trade my car against one of theirs that I like. Can I haggle with them regarding my cars valuation, and also the price of their car on the forecourt? Or do they tend to say a price for your car that your trading in and that's it, and just haggle with you regarding their dealership car? I'm not sure how this works out but it seems a quick way of trading it in.
2) Sell it on eBay, AutoTrader
3) Auction it somewhere (National Car Auctions) or can you lose money doing this?
Never sold a car before and want to maximise money in my pocket.
Thanks
