;) It possibly does, its just I've never thought of leaving BT until I read about this and both my o2 and BT contracts come up for "renewal" in the next couple of months. I've asked the MSE team to do the research for me :D

Will they do the same for me please !!!!!

As this is to be tied in with o2 Broadband, you first of all need to be sure your exchange is LLU unbundled first, because otherwise you will be paying through the nose for o2 Access BB, which is dire and expensive.

Agreed dire dial up speeds with Access avoid at all costs.

    caller display £1.75 and you'll end up paying - 9.50 + 1 + 1.75 = 12.25

O2 is charging £1 for 1571 - which is not good

I use both these services and BT is looking good for me. £11.50 (rent + unltd wknd and eve) which includes caller display + 1571 and Free BT privacy
    Cold for me

On behalf of your F&F, can I urge you to DUMP 1571.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Point taken. But I don't have any answer phone and no plans to buy one, coz I don't leave my phone switched on during daytime weekdays when I'm off to work.

And most of my F&F rings me on weekends and evenings and is not really having any impact on them. my primary use of 1571 is to pickup vm's from companies that leaves vm's ie utilities banks and service provides.

Even on weedays If I'm at home or work I always use my pay monthly mobile to ring landlines and even if it goes to 1571 I'm not being charged for that coz I've unltd landline bundle from vodafone which is really a treat.

I do appreciate your suggesion but for me 1571 works better. thanks

    Nothing new from O2 here.

Maybe interesting if you like to look at all your other O2 stuff on the same site and don't mind paying for caller display but otherwise there's lots of good deals out there.

Good maybe for those getting crap deals (due to laziness) at the moment and this might wake them up to use it for a better deal.
