Thinking of changing my current supplier to the one above.
However, the details state "Termination fee of £50.00 for dual fuel customers"
Does anyone know if this is for ever? i.e if in 3 yrs time i wished to switch will i be charged £50.00 by EDF for the 'privilege? .Or is it for a certain length of time?
This will certianly affect my decision.

Not sure about Online Saver V5, but I have just had a letter telling me that prices for V6 are to rise by approximately 10% from 15 January 2010, so watch out.0

The prices for Online v6 are rising but but all the newer online S@ver produts 1-5 are not changing.
Online 6 its ouside its cancelation period so you are free to swap to any tariff and you have recived a letter telling you that prices are changing.
What is there to watch out about??? This is a competitve marketplace in action.0 -

Im on online 6 and just got a letter saying my electricity prices have gone up. I phoned them & they said it would cost me £25 cancellation charge to switch to online 5.0 -
To be honest I may be wrong, I can't find any T&C's, but it was launched in Oct 08 so i presumed it would have finished by now.
There is normaly a get out clause that states if prices rise and it is not in line with general market conditions you can get the cancelation fee waved. No one is about to announce a 10% increase so you should be able to argue that its unfair.0 -
Just found the rate card and T&C's and there is no mention of a cancellation charge.
Ring back up and ask what cancellation period there is.0 -
I just dug out my T&C's but no mention of cancellation fee. However, when you go on EDF website and look at Online Saver v5 it does say there is a cancellation fee.
I have to admit I had not realised there was a cancellation fee. My own fault of course , it must have been somewhere in the information I agreed to.Desperately trying to get debt free!0 -

How did you sign up?
its mentioned on the web site here (6th Point):
http://www2.savetodaysavetomorrow.com/Online_Saver_v5.html
& its the first point in the T&C's here:
http://www2.savetodaysavetomorrow.com/documents/Online_Saver_v5-Ratecard.pdf
Its also pretty much the first thing highlighted in the other info sections on price comparisson web sites.
I wouldn't worry to much as most of the cheap onlines have a cancellation fee that last to March - April 2011.0 -
I'm with edf online dual fuel V3. I also have received the price increase and it's now dearer than say the online df V1. If I switch to online s@ver V5 it will be £179 cheaper. Looking at the t & c's it is a bit misleading about whether I can do that. Has anyone done this and do they drag their heels meaning it is easier to switch as other providers come within a few pounds of the edf amount. I do like the nectar points but the cashback would cover that.0
