I have an 0845 number, but does it cost me more if someone calls me from abroad?

hi, I have bought myself an 0845 number, the reason i did this is because i have changed my phone provider a few times over the years and never seem to be able to take my old number with me and I know with these I can keep it for life. I thought that if it doesn't cost me any more than the £10.00 I paid for it and no extra charge to my friends and family than - no problem.

However, my ex husband told me the other day that the local rate call applies to people calling from all over the world and mobiles too, therefore if someone calls me say from Egypt and the cost of the call to them would usually be say 60p a minute - they will now only pay 10p a minutes (local call cost) and I will have to pick up the rest of the cost for this call.

Is this correct?
