I've had a response, after a explanation to the lady that email me... and....
The idea has been passed through to the managers... so watch this space... she seemed really interested (Fingers crossed)0 -
I think this is a great idea! I will probably do this instead of the sweets wedding favours I planned.DRO granted 17/10/20090

Ooh I hope they do, wont be in time for me but I think its a really good idea0

I think it makes sense for all charities to supply some sort of lapel badge or similar to allow use as wedding favours0

had a reply from h4h today
( we are looking into having wedding favours but nothing is set stone as of yet. But you are welcome to buy our products to make your own. People do tend to go for the lape pins.
Best wishes

That's such a shame. The metal lapel pins look nice but at £3 each its way over my budget for favours. Will buy one each for me and OH.0

Awww, I think that is a fab idea rene. Just wanted to say well done!!
We will be hoping to do the same - help for heroes and Blesma (British Limbless Ex servicemens Association - as name suggests help people who have lost limbs and/or are blind, not as well known as H-4-H as they dont publicise as much but they really are superb)- OH is a member of Blesma and they have helped him no end since his accident. Me and OH are selling their bands for them but obviously not ideal for everyones wedding favours. I will see if I can find anything else.0 -

Also - you can probably get these from your local committee too, if you don't want to wait for them...!!
We have all sorts of ribbons, pin badges etc for events throughout the year and you can go and collect locally in the majority of cases.
There were (a couple of years ago) some really pretty brooches and keyrings, they were a bit more than the usual £1 donation, but they were so worth it -
maybe something like http://www.giftshop.cancerresearchuk.org/products/pink-compact-mirror/ for your top table guests??
You can usually pick these things up in the CRUK charity shops too if you have them near you.Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
This thread reminded me that I planned to buy charity pins as favours as well. I've just ordered a box of 50 red glitter heart pins from the British Heart Foundation if any one else is interested. The hearts look great and perfect for a wedding!0
